Since returning from Asia, I’ve found myself standing at the crossroads of two worlds, two vibrant women within me. One is the wild woman—untamed, alive, and deeply rooted in the elements. She yearns to sing to the trees, whisper to the wind, and pour her love into the sea, the fire, and the earth. She carries a prayer for humanity to remember who we are, to reconnect with the heartbeat of Mother Earth, and to live from our hearts.
The other is the woman I thought I had left behind but have come to understand still lives within me. She thrives in the beauty of form and expression, loves the art of dressing up, and dances joyfully through city streets. She feels alive at fashion parties, connecting with artists, weaving stories, and savouring the thrill of a cosmopolitan life. For a while, I battled her presence, believing she didn’t belong in the “spiritual” life I was building. I judged her as shallow, told myself I knew better—that happiness was elsewhere.
But the truth is, I am not one or the other. I am both. I am everything.
I am a tapestry woven from every experience I’ve ever had. I am the sum of all the feelings, thoughts, and emotions I’ve carried—every moment of joy, heartbreak, curiosity, and wonder. I am shaped by all the interactions I’ve shared, all the souls I’ve met, and all the stories we’ve exchanged. I am the scents of blooming flowers and salty air, the textures of warm earth and soft silk, the landscapes of bustling cities and serene forests. I am the wind’s whisper, the ocean’s roar, and the quiet hum of a city at dusk.
I am not one thing—I am a thousand things, woven together into a being who is loving, compassionate, giving, crazy, curious, adventurous, excited, childlike, fiery, and passionate.
This is what makes me whole. This is what makes me unique.
Life isn’t about choosing one side or fitting into neat categories like “spiritual” or “fashionable.” It’s about embracing the richness of all that we are—the contradictions, the complexities, the magic. It’s about realising that our wholeness comes from honouring every step of our journey.
The moment I stop judging myself, the moment I let go of the need to “be” a certain way, I will find serenity. I have discovered that peace is born from welcoming every facet of who we are with open arms.
And so, I choose to live as the wild and the elegant, the grounded and the free, the dreamer and the doer. I choose to celebrate the fascinating, unpredictable dance of all the elements within me. I am a living mosaic—a kaleidoscope of experiences, feelings, and dreams.
And in that, I am whole.
